Hi!
~Let me introduce my self~
I was born and raised in Toronto (Canada), with strong Italian roots. I’m an artist, published illustrator, and a veteran arts educator, with two decades of exhibiting in cultural venues and galleries (including the Gardiner Museum, Art World Fine Arts, and John B. Aird Gallery).
Recently, I decided to make a career shift. After having taught for 30 (very rewarding) years, as the Visual Arts Program Coordinator at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, I decided to devote my attention full time to my art practice.
Outreach work has always been important to me. I’m committed to developing collaborative projects that foster creativity, and empower children and youth, through art. Some of these include environmental and humanitarian driven projects on national and global scales.
I’ve been fortunate to have traveled extensively. This is another layer in my affinity for researching the subject matter that inspires my art. I’m sensitive to the ‘human spirit’ and draw inspiration from history, culture, and humanity.
Predominantly a painter, my work often incorporates a mix of components, sometimes using unconventional approaches with traditional media, other times creating a multi-layered aesthetic.
Art offers me a new adventure in every creative process. What a privilege it is to create!
